          It has been said that a person's smile brings light into their world. But, unfortunately, due to emotional and physical abuse, many people in today's society have temporarily lost their desire to smile. Fly Without Wings Equine Center has a passion to help these people find an easier road to recovery. We have found that horses have the natural ability to connect with humans and bring the much "sought after" joy and happiness back into their world. Have you ever witnessed the twinkle in a person's eye, or their look of awe, as a horse gently lowers their head for them to pet? Have you ever noticed the magical bonding of horse and human as the horse wraps their head around the persons neck as if to give them a hug? There is no price to pay to see the smiles or the "thank you" received from someone loving an equine friend. Most people may never remember the name of the horse handler or that of the side walker, but we can guarantee you they will always know the name of the horse. Here at Fly Without Wings we provide equine assisted activities free of charge in a program designed to work with at-risk youth, teens, adults, battered men, women, children,Veterans and those that are mentally or physically diverse. Jim Johnson, founder of Fly Without Wings, once said "It's not what you accumulate in life it's what you give to others." This organization is operated solely by volunteers with funding donated by the community and funds raised by our fundraiser team. We operate on the highest level of professionalism possible and handle all organization business with a committee of officers.
